- new Fennec dependencies and regressions are the primary source of blockers
- builds should be available first week of December
- target for release is now early December
Fennec 1.0x Maemo RC
- Coming up on code freeze
- focusing on flash and performance-related issues
Fennec 1.0x WinMo Alpha
- Coming up on code freeze on December 1st
Labs
- no releases planned for labs this week.
Support
- common issues
- Plan for 3.6 launch: Daily meetings with RRRT and SUMO volunteers to make sure we get really fast response on any issues we're seeing and that we know what kinds of additional info we need from users.
- Fallout from 2.0.0.X > 3.0.15 : Mostly a jump in people complaining that they can't update (older OSes) -- less lost bookmarks than expected.
Product Development
Firefox 3.6 / mozilla-1.9.2
- it's all about the remaining blockers and nominations
- we believe that we've covered most of the frame poisoning crashes, and indeed, have fixed the majority of new crashes from code changes in Firefox 3.6!
future / mozilla-central
- Lucas has a proposal about how to treat session cookies
- When mozilla-central re-opens after RC code freeze, we'll be landing out of process plugins!
- more detail in the full notes online
Localization
Firefox 3.6: Beta 4 shipping with 68 locales. Three further locales are green but not yet opted in: es-MX (needs QA after narro export), hr (contacted Sasa in addition to Ante, progress in hg), sr (Milos is peer, gonna ask him for opt in)
Update 3.5-3.6: If we do that as major update, we'll need the update web-snippets localized.
Fennec: Starting to hit the long tail at 17 localizations, doing some outreach. Due to the large amount of changes for RC, trying our best and take what we get.
General: We should plan how to release more things more often all at the same time. Needs leads for fx, fennec, comm-central, marketing. Everyone wants to ship twice a year on yet more locales. Can that happen at the all-hands?
