What's Moving This Week

  • All: Prep for All Hands (mid-year check-ins and team videos)
  • Insights: Working on data stewardship projects database, starting the “Foundations” part of the data stewardship research, deciding on format and direction for the Internet Health Report, kicking-off the work on a landscape analysis with the F&A team.
  • Campaigns: Asking Zoom to enable e2e encryption for all users, ad disclosure on streaming services, potential open letter with partners to Jourova on the EU Commission on the DSA, moving forward an ad tech investigative research project
  • Fellowships & Awards: May updates posted, initial application review for Tech + Society fellowship focus, MOSS Track 1 Committee meeting (6/11), fellowship extensions and contract amendments, building team workplan in Airtable, moving forward with Ford partnership proposal
  • Partnerships: Preparing the June fundraising campaign, preparing for a June WOTH call, and planning for H2 2020
  • Communications: Publicity for upcoming CMA launches (Choose Your Own Fake News, TheirTube, and An Interview With Alex); planning for the June 17 plenary and June 30 D&D; revising MoFo strategy language
  • MozFest: MozFest scenario mapping, GloPro Open House, Wrangler Alumni calls, Working Group planning, sharing MozFest tech audience report, bringing IHR & F&A communities into MozFest Slack
  • Organizational Effectiveness: All Hands planning, prep for June engagement survey including org effectiveness factor
  • Finance & Ops: MoFo 990 Tax Return, Completing RSM contract and H&S Engagement Letter, Exploring Stock Donation Platforms, Reviewing H1 Team Team OKRs
  • Engagement: IA staging, IA design (homepage, user testing), Codemoji shutdown, End of H1 fundraising appeals, PNI 4.0, what's next for our support of BLM, election content work
  • HR: In response to higher levels of recruitment the HR team is putting a special effort into moving open positions forward

Minutes From the Last Executive Team Weekly Meeting

  • All Hands: Made adjustments to the All Hands program due to schedule changes. Focused on making more space to help everyone feel grounded in our strategy and gain clarity on what we’re driving towards both in the moment and for the long-term. Discussed plans for the Town Hall this Thursday.
  • Fundraising Update: Juan joined to share an update on May fundraising results, and to discuss plans and content for June appeals.
