Talk:Firefox/Feature Brainstorming:Form handling and text areas

How would a WYSIWYG textarea work? I do not support the use of buttons as it is slow and cumbersome. Plus, I think plain text works fine, and using different font sizes, weights, slants, etc. is an unnecessary complication. I would like to see syntax highlighting, automatically selecting the right syntax such as HTML, XML, Javascript code, Mediawiki code, etc. That could be done using splugins, or Javascript with the page, but it would be best if the textarea just specified what kind of code it takes. -Pgan002 21:37, 22 January 2007 (PST)
