What is happening to ESR versions?

Could you explain the ESR version of your recent edits to Release Management/Calendar?

I have two questions: 1) Is 92.0 instead of 102.0 an attempt to avoid numbers larger than 100? It will cause confusion when the version number is different from Firefox. If this is intentional it should be documented on the page -- it currently looks like an error.

It was an error, and has been fixed! Thanks for catching this.

2) Why is there no overlap between ESR 91 and ESR 92 releases? The intent of ESR is to allow organizations to test ESR versions before switching and dropping support for ESR 91 when ESR 92.0 is released breaks that commitment to organizations. See the history for the overlap in previous releases.

It was an error, and the new changes does in fact include the overlap.

Thank you for adding the new release dates well ahead of time so this can be discussed well before the actual release. Bjherbison (talk) 18:14, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
