- 5.5 is gonna be hotter. Everyone should know what they are doing.

- 5.4 on track for 12/8 release.
Product

Developer Relations
- AMO Editor Meeting last Saturday. Meeting Notes.
- 11 new bugs filed. Mostly improvements to editor tools. Notably, we noticed the lack of a password policy on AMO. Bug 531868.
- Working on rewriting the AMO Editors Wiki.
- Removed trusted status to about 50% of trusted add-ons. A few complains here and there, but in general authors understood the decision.
- Kaply suggested changing "trusted" to something else, because "trusted" sounds too personal. I'd like to start calling them "Instant update" add-ons, so that it doesn't say more than what it is.
- Add-ons that are still trusted will need reviews every now and then. I reviewed a few of them with the help of some editors, and I'll be messaging the authors about changes they need to implement.

- Onsite was good times. We made a lot of big decisions, 2010 will be exciting.
- We triaged/closed several hundred bugs, thanks to everyone who helped. If you want to continue I've made a query AMONeedsTriage. A bug is considered triaged if it has a severity, priority, and milestone.

- Massive bug triage. There are several old bugs assigned to Rey that still need to be reassigned and hopefully resolved.
- Last cases of Gmail in German bug need to be resolved, and a new audit needs to be done for all add-ons with trusted status. Hooray for lists.

The reasons given in this post show the ineffectiveness of the AMO development team.
I worked at Yahoo and I’ve used different Java and PHP frameworks in the past, some good, some bad. However, that never stopped us from having a continuous build running locally and an integration build running on our server, or from unit testing our code, even though we had to extend and adapt some components and unit testing frameworks. The same with debugging, it never stopped us from creating awesome tools to debug our code and monitor the performance of our applications.
After finishing building a CMS using Django, I can only say one thing: A framework doesn't make you a better programmer. If you suck, you suck.

- Jorge is flying back from MozCamp Chile today, can't attend the meeting.

- There's a big need for admins to work on the super-reviews. Jorge will be doing this late this week and early next week. Could use some help, though.
