Overview
For our first ever Sub-Saharan Africa community meetup, we aim to bring together Mozilla Reps based in Africa and Mozilla employees from different areas of the Mozilla project to meet for two days of presentations, breakout sessions and discussions to better enable Reps support their communities through the array of tools and resources provided by the program. We’ll be doing all this with a special focus on best practices for growing and sustaining Mozilla communities in Africa while ensuring that they are fully aligned with greater engagement efforts across the Mozilla organization.

Accommodation
Accommodation is at the Norfolk Towers Apartments located in central Nairobi opposite the Nairobi University main campus. Note:Norfolk Hotel (not Towers) is right next to it.
Venue
The meetup will take place at the Pawa254 coworking space, do take time to checkout the great setup they have at the rooftop. It's a 10-15 min drive from the hotel (Norfolk Towers Apartments)

Transportation
- Airport Transfer
A couple of you will need to apply for visas at the airport or fill in arrival forms, either way, you can grab the forms you need to fill and do it while waiting in line (which can get long) to save time, so do carry a pen :). In case they are still doing Ebola screenings, there is a quick form to fill as well. Pick it up and fill it while waiting in line.
We have Naomi cabs handling transfers from the airport to the hotel. Someone will be waiting at the arrivals with a Mozilla sign. Some of the flights are 30 minutes apart so you may have to wait for that long to be moved in groups.
- Hotel to Venue Shuttle
The hotel and venue are at different locations and we'll have a shuttle to pick and drop everyone off. Pickups will be happening at 7:45 am (the time the first shuttle leaves and 8:30 am (the time the second shuttle leaves).
Breakfast
Breakfast will be served at the venue, not the hotel.
Shops and ATMs
If you need anything, you can get it at the Nakumatt mall; it's a walking distance from the hotel. You'll also find ATMs supporting both VISA and MasterCard there. You can checkout the map I shared above to see how to get there.
