- App Builder Proposal
- Background: Diana and Joe discussed ideas on how to get right # of local apps into App store.
- Joe: create light aesthetic to build apps into stores -- WYSIWYG - specifically for end users, not devs
- quality would come b/c the technology works.
- hosting would be provided by whatever backend is specified -- Apps program (per Rick Fant) providing hosting infrastructure.
- we could use appcloudy.com, (on github) but what about FB?
- Kevin: WP.com or tumblr blogs are easy for end-users. will it be an aggregator?
- Joe: there are still some missing pieces. Not just a link container. Framework.
- Collection of configurable templates for layout and design.
- Target: sporting team, nightclub, entertainment, celebrity: calendar, event template.
- Question: whether we host it or not - utility of app. how do we manage the content.
- Daniel: have a BD relationship. and push people to use it. manage it with them.
- Joe: is the original value prop of low barrier to entry still true?
