Question: What are the specs for the hardware we want to get deployed by IT? It will likely be an exact mirror to the "interim" set-up ekr is working on, right? Phases:
- Phase 1
- Prototype standup in AWS
- Clients in different security zone to get NAT behavior
- Prototype hardware in ekr's garage
- Prototype standup in AWS
- Phase 2
- Actual hardware with consumer NATs and programmable VLANs
Software components:
- Test runner <== ted and dminor?
- Run tests on one client? or on third non-client machine?
- signalling server (generic messaging bus? or specific logic?)
- Defining test format <== adam
- Webpage tests
- C++ tests
Milestone 1:
- test runner + tests coordinating, running tests on separate machines
clint will re-check what we can do inside an amazon vpc with regard to networking configuration.
