Announcements
Status Updates
- Let's finalize the milestone documents if possible for B2G and the doc https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/B2G_Milestones
- B2G Installer assets updated https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1288910 (Thanks Jovan)
- Taskcluster build broke on 14.9 but is now fixed
- I've got the x86 KitKat emulator running again on my box, it needs a small patch that I'll commit soon. This should allow testing the telephony apps without the need for a phone plus other niceties. I'm now working on getting the Lollipop emulator also working. I'm not sure if we have plans for porting to Marshmallow but I wouldn't consider that until we get the rest of the functionality back first.
Smartphone
- Sms app porting started (https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/t/sms-app-porting/10935 @Thanks to Matthieu, follow issues https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/t/sms-app-porting/10935/1 and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1302634

- Is where can i find the source and/or a doc to build mulet for Mac ? No more build for OSx from what i understand
- mulet source is gecko, so see mozilla-central
- https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mulet#How_do_I_run_B2G_OS_on_it.3F this is how you build mulet
- Linux we have this 2 bugs regarding mulet
- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1304038

- blobfree not yet ready there is a problem with the building of pulled blobs to a system&boot.img- i need to reach out to Atila (Juan) but he doesn't reply...
Infrastructure
- Old architecture page is back on MDN. Update in progress to adapt new architecture https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/B2G_OS/Architecture
Documentation
- lets talk about the organisation of MDN and improvements: https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/MDN_B2GOS_Organisation and here the discourse topic: https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/t/mdn-for-b2g/
- Proposition of restructuring
- Can we easly recreate a full structure for the documentation in MDN ? Do we need specific access, right etc ?
- Transfer required, take care of language (Novski)
- Should we instead improve https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/B2G_OS i.e. Add at the end of the page "Quick architecture reference" with the new organization referencing to appropriate pages? (m.ducorps and krz37)
- Next step start the discussion on discourse to have a first draft of the Doc. and here the discourse topic: https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/t/mdn-for-b2g/
- Proposition of restructuring
- can we increase the double information on Wiki and make it a first landing space for new users? By deleting all developer information out of it? (novski)
- Add a note on the "archive page" ie mulet OSx/Windows doesn't work for now.
- review this page https://wiki.mozilla.org/B2G to have it more user friendly
- See the round table notes below from Luca, we need to update the Compatible device page,
- Organise a dedicated meeting about Documentation. krz37 will post about it on *
- Let's wait one more week and if there is no feedback about the documentation, we'll just go ahead and do the modification we've proposed in the etherpad
Governance
Communications
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firefox_OS Needs edit, any volunteer? Let's post it on discourse after the meeting if not+1
- For people using Twitter, do no hesitate to follow @boot2gecko
QA
Round Table
- Why don't we use Bountysource to speed up bugs closing? There are:
- a b2g team (https://www.bountysource.com/teams/b2g) - Matthieu claimed it (https://www.bountysource.com/teams/b2g/settings).
- and a mozilla-b2g team ( https://www.bountysource.com/teams/mozilla-b2g) - Matthieu also claimed this, @Thanks again!
- For now no feedback from bountysource, if someone close to Mozilla have an idea how to get in touch with this guy https://github.com/andreasgal/B2G there is chance he is the admin ( he was CTO at Mozilla :) )
- We just need to update a previous team or it's better to create a totally new one? Imho, we should also considering Salt as a crowdfounding option. (From the FAQ: Through Salt open-source projects can collect monthly contributions from supporters in order to reliably and predictably fund ongoing development). In my opinion it would be great for the project development!
- For now wait and see feedback from Bountysource.
- We should update the Compatible device page, update porting statuses and adding new supported devices https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/B2G_OS/Building_and_installing_B2G_OS/Compatible_Devices. Should we schedule a dedicated documentation meeting? We can also use it to discuss the documentation organization/status (see also what Novsky wrote here https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/t/mdn-for-b2g/10814) (Luca)
- see documentation topic above
- Trying to involve this guy https://twitter.com/FabianOvrWrt ... he is doing a good job tweaking firefox os UI.
- kskarthik: shall we contact the dev's to reserve this name for our community ? https://vroom.im/b2g_os_weekly_meeting
- seems not really stable we where 5 pepole but 2 at the end, audio only seems to work okey
- if we want to reserve the room, we just have to put a password but it is wiser to go back to Vidyo at the moment that was more stable for everyone
