Milestones for The Book of the Web
Feb
Feb 11 - send out to elicit feedback from first tier of potential participants and supporters
Week Feb 13 - 18
- start the Ingredients of the Web and Secrets of the Web and Campaign Examples list with some kick off examples
- Brainstorm topic areas and identify up to 10 areas of focus
- throw the wiki open for others to put in Ingredients and Secrets
Deadlines
Feb 18 - DEADLINE - all www issues settled - the domain and format of each stage of production (etherpad->wiki->?)
Feb 28 - DEADLINE - first draft scope of the book (single A4)
March
Week March 1 - 7
- Identify book sprint participants to collaboratively build the “frame” for each topic.
Deadlines
Mar 10 - DEADLINE - scope of book agreed and committed to a single A4
April
- book venue
- book tickets
- arrange accommodation
- Bring on board illustrators.
- Design templates for conveying specific types of information eg. practical how to, educational text, 'what is?' pages etc.
- Design pre-sprint engagement and outreach strategies to invite input and ideas in each topic topic area, in the time leading up to the Book Sprint.
