Downtime postmortem

While doing a test(?) involving putting the processors on PGBouncer, we broke the Production Web UI for just under an hour. The Users noticed: bug 659523. The problem centered around the WebUI, Postgres, PGBouncer and, our favorite, Zeus.

  • What went wrong?
    • Time estimate for this task was 2 minutes x 2 (forward and backward failover), which laura approved. What went wrong?
  • How was it resolved?
