Socorro

  • Android device split is now on the signature summary! example
  • Shipped 59 last week
  • One of the bugs that is part of the improved B2G reporting goal is going to miss - Enable search by device / top crashes per device bug 853455. This requires indexing raw crashes into ElasticSearch and will miss due to poor dependency planning on my part. Need more machines in the cluster, which is underway but won't happen by end of the quarter.
  • Hoping to have a full set of draft goals for director's co-ordination meeting on Thursday. If you have small stuff, this doesn't matter, but if there are big things (infrastructure related, or dependent on other groups), please let me know before then.

    • Spiked and fixed over the weekend. Crash volume is dropping

B2G

  • Work week last week.
  • Still some issues with ZTE symbols, still trying to straighten that out
  • 1.1 and 2.0 don't have enough volume to make heads or tails
  • concern around graphics crashing issues in the b2g work week; meeting at 2 pm pst for brainstorming session on how to stabilize
  • Stability testing to find Mean Time Between Failures is being worked on; will not be done in 1.2 time frame. Maybe 1.3 but more likely later.
  • Endurance testing which we currently have is a single test case that's being run over and over, which doesn't measure meantime between failures well.

    • Desktop crash has been fixed : 2013-03-22
    • need to investigate more and see what's going on for b2g project
  • bug 915869 - Firefox OS crash in mozalloc_abort(char const*) | NS_DebugBreak | mozilla::layers::PGrallocBufferParent::Write(mozilla::layers::PGrallocBufferParent*, IPC::Message*, bool)
    • patch is there, still crashing?
