From the HASTAC team:
1. What materials do we need to bring to the tent? Banners? Signs? What size? Logos? Co-branding? Are there rules re: co-branding? Should we be finding a designer to create logo for Storming the Academy ?
2. Tent: Is this an actual tent or a room? Inside or outside? What size space? Will there be tables and chairs? Electricity?
3. Coordinating with P2PU and Storming the Academy tents and schedules
4. Proposed Participants in addition to what's on wiki
Anne Balsamo-- “reverse oracle” application.
Trebor Scholz proposed the following activity. Does this sound like something you'd be interested in at Drumbeat?
The Thinking with Digital Media Reader is part of a series of publications leading up to Mobility Shifts. “Mobility Shifts: An International Future of Learning Summit” is a year-long program of discussions, publications, curriculum evelopment, podcasts, video interviews, performances, and other interdisciplinary, collaborative projects culminating in the conference Mobility Shifts in October 2011 at The New School in NYC. At Drumbeat, in HASTAC tent:
Participants who would ideally have experience teaching with digital media inside or out of institutions could contribute their experience and share tools that they found useful. The focus, would be not so much on the tools but on the actual social practices that are wrapped around these digital media platform services and tools. I'd probably do this completely without computers but stick to index cards and posters of some kind. A large white board would be very useful.
Cathy's also has a group of students who are working on various ideas, currently the working title is Class in a Box. Our 4th HASTAC member will likely be one of these students.
