Schedule Update

• 33.1.1 release.
  • Driver: Startup crash bug 1021265 (displaylink) 0.9%
  • Q: Can we update just 32 users to 33.1.1? - yes
  • Q: How does the maintenance service work? Can it give updates?
    • Not today. It's currently only used to stop repeated UAC prompting. It can potentially be used for updates. This is something that we'll be discussing in Portland.
• 34 beta 8 (mobile)
• discussion: pushing the 34 schedule out a week
  • will have limited time to look at data during the work week
  • Tyler won't be in Portland and can monitor UA feedback, UA would support pushing it back
  • Apple won't be able to whitelist ESR and Thunderbird
  • Will need to defer mobile as well
  • Need to quality Aurora and Beta during the work week - softvision covers a lot of the manual testing and will not be attending
  • potentially merge on the Friday before the work week
    • will take a full releng day (bhearsum)

• Want to take fixes for the following bugs in 34

User Advocacy

• We're keeping an eye on Tiles feedback given 33.1, recent Mozilla Blog posts, and some press mentions. So far:
  • Just a few pieces of feedback
  • Against ads in Firefox at all
  • Confused about dismissal/if they disappear over time
  • Confusing visited page thumbnails with advertisements
• Dev Edition: landed explanation of profile recovery through sync in tour
• Also going through e10s feedback as a result of recent e10s pushes on nightly+marketing

• Jorge: Do we have an update on the Dashlane+Norton extension issues in 33.1? Still seeing feedback from users
