- Probably tomorrow
Add-ons
Stability
Aurora / Dev Edition
- Overall rate: 1.9 - browser 1.0, content 0.9 - yellow
- bug 1232229 (FinalizeArenas) is 2.5% of 46.0a2 data
- some new bugs need to be filed for top crashes in https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/search/?product=Firefox&version=46.0a2&process_type=browser&process_type=content&_facets=signature#facet-signature
- We should have a look comparing e10s vs. non e10s crash rate, with Telemetry, ask chutton.
Beta
- Overall rate: 1.3 - red
- bug 1210099 (mozilla::OriginAttributes::CreateSuffix) is 7.5% of all crashes in 45.0b1, almost all at startup, 5 crashes per installation, #1 Top Crash Score by far. All seem to have e10s on and most have Skype Click-to-Call installed.
- content crashes are at a rate of 0.2 - without them we'd still report as yellow but closer to 44 beta values
- We are going to disable e10s for users with Skype: Bug 1245192
- In parallel, we are going to contact Skype about this crash
- bug 1231024 (js::jit::BacktrackingAllocator::splitAt) is 3.5% (4.1% of non-e10s crashes)
- plugin crashes have spiked very significantly over the weekend as well, they are 3-4x as high as with 44 beta - would need Telemetry data to find out if that's due to experiments. Only <15% of the plugin issues have e10s enabled, so the experiment is probably not the cause. See bug 1245200
- As a note, plugin crashes with e10s on are missing plugin name and version annotations, see bug 1245165.
Release
- Overall rate: 1.0 - yellow
- bug 916762 (gfx startup crash) and bug 1222933 (Ad Muncher) are still #1 and #2 Top Crash Score.
Mobile
- Android 44.0 release does not look visibly worse then 43.0 \o/
- Android 45.0 beta data has a significant regression again, though.
- We somewhat expected this. Snorp needs to disable the tile size changes again https://bugzil.la/1235855
- May want to do a b3 so that this can be the only mobile change
