awsy rate: 0.90 (browser 0.67, content 0.22) telemetry (m+c-s) from monday: 4.41 (week before: 4.50, this time last cycle: 3.35)

  • crash fixes in b11+12 have improved rates a bit - browser crash rate in 55.0b is still ~25% (or 0.14 crashes/100ADI) higher than near the end of 54.0b (content crash rates are identical)
    • 0.05 crashes/100ADI of the increase are startup crashes (mostly due to the cluster of xdr/script preloader crashes)
      • Bug 1382329 - Fix XDR encoding issues in script preloader planning to uplift a fix in 55.0b13
    • 0.04 crashes/100ADI are shutdownhangs
    • 0.05 crashes/100ADI others...

  • [Brindusa] Preferences Performance [Photon] - one blocker was logged last week (1382649). Fix should be in Beta 55.0b13 . Tomorrow we will verify this bug on Beta.
  • [Andrei] [Firefox Screenshots] We're coordinating with Engineering QA to help clarify the information made available in our pre-Release sign off report. Helping the Screenshots engineering team release this feature in its best shape possible remains as our major focus.
    • [Paul] Try builds containing some of the new fixes pushed by engineering have already been verified on Nightly. We'll work with Release QA on confirming them on Beta as well.
