Firefox 4 Beta 5

Highlights / Notices
Notes or issues that don't correspond to a particular release you'd like people to know about.
- [beltzner] There is now a list of supported platforms for Firefox 4; still deciding about non-SSE2 CPUs
- [beltzner] We will be starting to socialize a roadmap for Firefox that goes beyond Firefox 4 in the coming months
- [beltzner] Working up an EOL plan for Firefox 3.5
- Feedback
- Haven't had a chance to start collecting Beta 5 Feedback--will have a full report for next week.
Questions and Concerns
Please add any questions or concerns you would like discussed at today's meeting.
- [beltzner] need to get legal / engagement / mozilla.org input on a couple of wording changes in the About Window (see bug 579547 and bug 571584)
- [ravi] IT would like to have a downtime this weekend
- requires a 6 hour tree closure
- beltzner will consult with other product leads to try and find a good window for this
- [catlee] RelEng wants to reconfig to bring new build slaves into production
- should be a quick 10 minute fix, no downtime required
- slight chance of problems, any good time to do this?
- beltzner suggested either early ET or 7pm PT
- [clegnitto] Can we make forwarding from branch 2.0 to trunk (or the other way, whatever makes more sense) automatic? Would hate to miss fixes either way.
