Check-Ins and Open Items
Fx / Product Experience / Security (Johnath)
- tracking: bug 511104
- from today's Firefox meeting (tentative):
- code freeze on second week of November;
- RC later half of Nov;
- release in December
- Julie checking into whether keeping on local cache can be squared with legal
- Track that discussion at bug 520346
- c-beard: from UX standpoint, we would like "cease distribution" to be the extent of our response
First-Run experience (Tara/Suneel/Nick)
- mozilla.com iframe (522754)
- ignore first slide in Howse's deck
- iframe fix predicted by Thursday
- QA would probably be 2-3 days
- possibility of geo-targeting is hard to test
- start with an initial batch
AMO (Nick/Justin)
- AMO 5.2 launched last night with support for Personas and new statistics for developers
- personas site went up without a hitch last night
- brief outage but fixed
Capacity (mrz)
- ETA on Edgecast depends on service level agreement terms, but looks fine for 3.6 release dates
Web Site optimization (Morgamic/Ryan)
- see code cleanup goals
Legal / Approval Scale (Julie)
- Edgecast contract will be ready in time (see capacity above)
- Julie to sync up with Jonath on local cache, distribution, and liability
Branding / PR (Jane/Melissa/Tara)
- Tara will be watching out for these issues
QA (Tony/Stephen/Tomcat)
- stephen to write test plan once mocks are complete
- tony (front end) noticed quirkiness with compatability on in-product feature
