Bon Echo Beta 1

buglist: Firefox 2 Beta 1 blockers

• release notes being tracked by bug 344151
• need to create web pages listed in bug 344128 for anti-phishing
• timr: running through existing and new BFTs, a little behind on Windows atm, some new session restore tests being run by bclary, some new uSummary tests, should be done by EOD
• schrep: any new bugs come up that should cause an RC4?
• preed: after QA sign-off, I need about 10 hours to sign the bits for en-US and stage and mirror
• preed: we'll pull l10n from 11am PDT today and I'll be starting builds within the hour
• cbeard: we'll make sure 344151 and 344128 get finished by EOD
• schrep: so let's start the signing at 4pm today and aim for a release tomorrow morning

Bon Echo Beta 2

buglist: Firefox 2 Beta 2 blockers

• if you want something in beta2, nominate the bug as blocking-firefox2? or blocking1.8.1? and set the target milestone as Firefox 2 beta2 or mozilla1.8.1beta2; drivers to triage the list daily from here to beta2 release
• goal is for this will be a fully localized release, so only make string changes if absolutely necessary, and cc l10n and mark with late-l10n keyword
• planned lockdown is August 4th
• planned release is August 11th - might be able to adjust out by a few days
• long poles for beta2:
  • visual refresh work
  • tab overflow bug 343251
  • spell check bugs (rewrite?)
  • pref panel rewrite
    • schrep: is the pref panel rewrite necessary to ship?
    • cbeard: there's a minimal set of changes that need to be done in order to ensure that the panel isn't incoherent
