Marketing/PR

  • Mozilla.com ready to go save for a few tweaks, mainly around updating all the screenshots (which is in progress and should be ready in the next 24 hrs). Will set up a parallel production site to make pushing the actual new site easier (hoping to avoid some of the snags we hit last year).
  • Site l10n is coming in at the end of the process, but is in progress. Details on the l10n dashboard.
  • Released Alix & Beltzner's "What's New in 3.5" video yesterday.
  • Released the final world record holder video in the Fastest Firefox series yesterday. Still need more community help to get quality video submissions.
  • Firefox Parties:
    • Call to Action (CTA) is live on the home page of SFx.
    • Directions on how to host a party are here.
  • Regional Social Network Outreach:
  • PR
    • First RC shipped on Friday afternoon - not ideal timing for press outreach - PR forces mobilized starting Monday
    • scheduling 3.5 phone interviews for media we did not meet with in-person on tour
    • scheduling run through of demos for Japan PR
