About Us
firefox_group@WBUT is a new club/user & developers' group in West Bengal University of Technology . From the very beginning period we want to spread and popularise the club among all the students and make them aware of the firefox OS and browser technology and other parts.
History
Beforehand in the IIIT-Cal /School of IT campus there was a Student Activity Center (SAC) running upto 2010.
It has been revived by Ayan Chandra, Bhaskar Tiwari and Kumar Aditya on 2012 .
1. As a part of the SAC- WBUT , the firefox_group@WBUT was founded and formed by Ayan Chandra.
He carried out and completed his role as club lead during 2013-2014.
2. Ranodeep Saha became the club lead from 2014 , 11th november onwards till now.
He hosted the Mozilla day Kolkata Event 2014, Participated and arranged Hive KGP 2014-15, and is going to organise more , and a vouched mozillian.
He is the current club lead for the session.Though his CLT is still pending

Events
1. Mozilla Kolkata Day 2014 on 11th November 2014, tuesday from 11am onwards to be hosted by Ranodeep and Mozilla Reps from the Mozilla Kolkata Community .
2. Ranodeep participated and arranged in HIVE Kharagpur event.
3. An Active Mozillian Ranodeep from Firefox Group WBUT did a Webmaker EVent in Agartala Which was the first mozilla event in North East India.
4.Konstruct 2K15 first Open Source Fest of Kolkata was held in WBUT which was actively supported by Mozilla.
5.Firefox Hello Demo was given in the University by Ranodeep Saha
6.The Group D staff of the University were Taught the Very Basics of Computing under the "Teach the Web" Mission of Mozilla by Ranodeep Saha
7.A introductory Webmkaer Session was conducted by Ranodeep Saha in 1st Year to promote among the Word of Mozilla
