Grow Mozilla helps all Mozillians achieve crazy and ambitious goals by bringing people into the project, increasing the skills of community members and expanding our culture as we grow larger.
The following programs and tools provided by the Contributor Engagement and People teams help to build a global, inclusive force of paid and volunteer contributors to fulfill Mozilla's mission.
Programs
The programs that support Grow Mozilla include:
The Mozilla Reps (ReMo) program aims to empower and support volunteer Mozillians who want to become official representatives of Mozilla in their region/locale.
The Mozilla Stewards are members of teams who are working with Contributor Engagement to create and execute a plan for bringing in volunteers to Mozilla.
The Capture Mozilla program uses video to capture and share knowledge (from know-how to cultural) across the Mozilla community.
The MozCamp program mentors and trains core contributors to help us bring our products to market and bolster our efforts to recruit new contributors in region.
Mozilla Communities Sites is a project which empowers Mozillians with all the tools they need to get their community's online presence off the ground and keep it up-to-date, engaging and exciting.
The Mozilla Spaces program is a way to expand our presence globally and bring Mozillians together worldwide. |
Tools and Platform
The tools that support Grow Mozilla include:
- The Phonebook makes the Mozilla contributor base feel smaller by creating an easy way to learn who is involved, what they do and how to connect with them.
- The Taskboard platform will uplift basic introductory tasks (and, in the future, jobs) across all sub-communities into a public-facing list of activities which are sortable and filterable list.
- The Events Manager platform will show and allow Mozillians to join online/offline events via a public-facing list.
