Travel

Airport to City

Dublin Airport only has two options of commuting to and from the city. Bus or Taxi. There is no rail link option in the Airport.

Taxi

This is the fastest and most expensive option to get into the city. The average price is roughly €20 - €25.

Note: You will not be reimbursed for taxi trips

Bus

Dublin Bus - 747 (Green double decker bus) The Airport to City bus stops outside both terminal buildings and will take you into O'Connell Street which is less than 5 minutes walk to Trinity College. It's regularly picks up passengers at an average wait time of 10-15 minutes during the day and takes about 20 minutes to get into the city. Cost is set at 6 Euros each way.

Dublin Bus Route 16 (Starts route outside of Terminal 1). This is an everyday bus route into the city. It departs from outside of terminal 1 (old terminal) every 15-20 minutes. Takes about 45 minutes to get into the heart of the city and stops right outside Trinity College. It's price should be less than €6 per trip. Approx €4.

Aircoach Aircoach is a comfortable solution, these coaches stop outside both terminals and you can pay with notes when boarding. Aircoaches stop at every major part of the city. You'll have to get the Aircoach Bus 700 for Trinity. The cost is approx €10 - €15 each way, prices are cheaper if you book online prior to arriving. See http://aircoach.ie/

  • If you're staying in the Avondale House, taking the stop at The Gresham Hotel will place you just around the block from the Avondale.
  • If you're staying at an AirBNB, please take the stop at Trinity college and walk to your destination.

NOTE Dublin Bus do not accept Paper Money (€5 , €10 €20, €50). They also do not give you change if you are due it. If you are due change you will have to head to Dublin Bus Central on O'Connell Street with your ticket to collect the money. Keep your tickets for reimbursement

Goals

Irish
  • All outstanding bugs resolved (just one open at present).
  • Two new LDAP/Pootle accounts created for what we hope are two new regular contributors.
  • Bring mozilla.org to 100%, and return AMO l10n to nearly 100%.
  • Complete a comprensive review of terminology across Mozilla products and bring them in line with more recent projects (Gmail, etc.)
Welsh
  • Create a plan on how to enable us to support the present effort and any new fields for development.
  • Continue the present level of software localization according to the direction Mozilla is taking for the next 12-18 month and what results it's looking to achieve.
  • Create comprehensive plan to increase Welsh downloads, page visits, visibility on webpages, and in media by ?% by work with partners to raise awareness of what's available - Welsh Gov., S4C, Urdd; Media - mags, newspaper, S4C; Facebook, Google+, websites, blogs, events, just talking to people... etc
  • Increase technological support for Celtic languages in Mozilla (and other products) through Pootle bug squashing, feature brainstorming, and incorporation of other Celtic language technology in the translation process.
