Arriving at hotel

You are responsible for getting to the hotel from the airport yourself. Note that if you would like reimbursement for this cost, please follow the reimbursement instructions below. The best way to getting into Bangkok is to take the Airport Link City Line, you can view the train time table here. Follow the airport signs to get to Airport Link City Line in Basement B.

  • Take the Airport Link City Line to Phaya Thai (Fare 90 THB 17 mins, 6 stops).
  • Change to MRT. Take BTS Shukhumuvit Line (Green line) going towards Bearing station. Get off at Ekkamai BTS Station (Fare 45 THB, 16 mins, 8 stops).
  • Leave the Ekkamai from Exit 3. Turn left onto Sukhumvit Soi 69 to get to your hotel (see this map).

Please note you need to buy two tickets (one for the Airport Link, the other for the MRT). Also keep this this subway map handy or ask for a subway map at the airport tourist information center.

The last train leaves Bangkok airport at 11:40 AM (midnight). Those who arrive late have to take the cab into the city. Taxis are available platform of passenger terminal on the 1st Floor, Gates 4 and 7. Alternatively you can grab a taxi from the arrivals passenger terminal (map). Please do checkout these useful tips to avoid problems with taxis in Bangakok.

Reimbursements
Some of you are required to either pay entry fees or visa fees to enter the country as well as public transit fees for arriving at the hotel. Here is the process for being reimbursed those fees:
  1. Email your receipt(s) and PayPal account email address to Jeff.
  2. If you do not have a PayPal account and need reimbursement, please notify Jeff as soon as possible.

    • Organization changes introduced in Whistler.
    • Virtuous participation cycle
    • The role of your language localization within Mozilla's mission and strategy.
  • Tools, resources, and translation workflows at Mozilla
    • Dashboards overview
    • Pootle, hg, & SVN tutorials
    • Translation quality program
  • Review Prod roadmaps, schedules and priorities to better understand and plan upcoming localization work
    • iOS in the your region
    • Seasonal Firefox releases -- Firefox 42
    • Communication of timelines -- what's working, what isn't, how do l10n-drivers support your locales more?

  • L10n community stability in your l10n communities
    • Sustainability & succession
      • How does each l10n team prioritize their active projects?
      • How does each l10n team structure locale/project leadership?
      • Does the team have a plan of succession? If so, what is it, where is it strong and where is it weak?
      • Does the l10n team have linguistic resources (e.g., Firefox glossary, style guide, etc.) to sustain the project?
      • If yes, how did they create them? Would they be willing to mentor other teams to create their own?
    • Recruitment
    • Localizer recognition
      • Does the l10n team feel like they receive enough recognition from Mozilla for their efforts?
        • What form of recognition is most appreciated?
      • Does the l10n team provide recognition to outstanding members of the team?
    • L10n gatherings and Mozilla Reps
      • How often does your l10n team get together physically?
      • Do you know who your local Mozilla Rep l10n ally is?
      • What makes a successful l10n gathering for your l10n community?
      • How important do feel physical meetups are for your l10n community and the work you do?
  • Discuss localized product use in your countries.
    • Brainstorm possible initiatives to increase locale usage and market share.
