Possible New Fields

This really wants formatting into a table so we can compare with where fields are mentioned in specs, links to bugs and things like that.

Please use Mailnews_Talk:Address_Book_Card_Fields for discussion on new fields - we can always move them over here later.

  • Academic Titles (bug 256247)
  • Birthday Fields (bug 13595)
  • Categories (bug 262530)
  • Image ? What do other apps do here?
    • I meen a photo of the contact!
  • Screen Names - support MSN, ICQ, AIM etc.
  • Anniversary
  • Spouse
  • Certificate (X.509, GnuPG, etc.)
  • Multiple fields for email addresses/numbers (phone,fax etc)/urls (bug 118665)

Layout

I don't see the layout as important at this stage, that will follow once we have the fields ready. However I'll leave this here for now as someone posted it. --Standard8 13:47, 7 Oct 2005 (PDT)

I have postet that here. It shall not represent the layout. I thus only wanted to reach this one should put many things into listing views to be more flexible and e.g. can indicate N e-mail addresses and not only 2 e-mail addresses per user.
