Windows Mobile

  • 7 bugs remain on the alpha blocker list
    • 2 are waiting from sr from stuart, so I expect them to be pushed today
    • bug 436998 has sr- from bsmedberg, but his concerns look to be addressable
  • Some of the new UI and theme work will be WinMo related.
    • Nav toolbar UI rework will support portrait mode better
    • Theme rework (images and padding/margins) will also support portrait mode better
    • We do need to explore image and font size differences between HTC Touch Pro (VGA 480 x 640) and Samsung Omnia (WQVGA 240 x 400)
      • Maybe use CSS media queries to switch between different displays
  • weave build

Symbian

Performance

  • Networking
  • Startup
    • Tracemonkey merge resulted in a ~300ms regression
    • XPT Linking patch resulted in a ~300ms Ts speedup
    • Graph of both
  • Fennec

Plugins

Builds

  • Windows Mobile tree was a bit broken last week (up until last night) for various reasons. Mainly due to an NSS landing in m-c that broke WinCE. The OJI plugin changes and the XPT linking changes caused secondary breakage too.
  1. How do we want to proceed with an NSS tinderbox for WinCE? (bug 487354)
  2. What is the end goal for "make installer" behavior?

QA

  • browser-chrome tests still being developed bug 486490
  • new issue with windows mobile build to support --enable-tests bug 487694
  • work underway for adding additional geolocation tests bug 482260
