Earth Day 2020, April 22-24
The climate crisis needs our attention. And our solidarity.
Holding up the pressure. Showing up in numbers too big to ignore. Demonstrations are a critical element to convey the urgency of the situation. We want people to act and governments and businesses to assume their responsibilities.
On April 22-24, 2020, we will join the #EarthDayLive campaign, raising awareness, rallying people, maintaining the pressure online. While we won’t be able to march with millions of people on the streets in light of the coronavirus pandemic, we are committed to maintaining the momentum.
Mozilla encourages its staff and volunteers to partake.
We are in this together. To make organising easier, you can:
- RSVP to this event.
- Join the #earthday channel on chat.mozilla.org (Matrix).
- Find social media resources here.
- And have a look at some sample tweets here.
Thank you to everyone who joined in on the Earth Day social media action! 🌳🌍🙌
- We joined in on Twitter via our main Mozilla handle as well as various Mozilla-related accounts and community-run channels, including Mozilla_in_Asia (with 3k likes!), Japan, Pakistan, Indonesia, India, Reps and more. Special shoutout to the Punjab community: they were active, fun in their messaging, and even created their own assets. 💃
- There were also Instagram stories and a post of the Museum of the Fossilized Internet. 🙏
- Pocket joined in with a special collection dedicated to Earth Day. 🎉
- Contributor @Seburo provided us with an EDL browser theme. 🎆
