  • [henrik] We had our first Marionette training for Firefox UI tests with QA this week
  • [Cosmin] Refactored software update tests have been landed for Nightly only via bug 599290

Blockers

    • [07/10] Bug 735184 - RFE: Create Pulse notifications for update channel activities (goal for Q1/2015)
    • [09/03] Bug 997230 - Setup Mac Mini for DeployStudio needed by PuppetAgain (needs action RelOps)
    • [10/29] Bug 1066493 - TPS failure: Error: signIn() failed with: "error.sync.reason.serverMaintenance" (would need fix from DB vendor)
    • [11/05] Bug 1083166 - [SCL3] Pulse and maybe other connections are timing out in irregular intervals

Framework and Tools (Henrik)

Convert first sets of Mozmill tests to Marionette (bug 1119715)

  • Landed modules for location bar (bug 1123871), handling tabs (bug 1127831), and places (bug 1121731)
  • Several smaller API level fixes and Puppeteer documentation updates
  • Next modules are complete support for tabs, and menus
  • Had an successful m21s training last week with a couple of location bar and tabbed browsing tests under construction (https://etherpad.mozilla.org/m21s)
  • Still facing a couple of blockers related to keyboard and middle/right mouse click

Run Marionette tests in Mozmill CI (bug 1119725)

Creation of automated tests for important regressions

  • bug 1109140 - Create a remote Mozmill test for "What is this page?" links in "about:newtab"
  • bug 1037416 - Add mozmill test for Developer Tools keyboard shortcuts

    • bug 1128501 - Failure "Preferences panes have been initialized" in open() method of the AboutPreferencesPage class
    • bug 1129962 - Mozmill test failure 'Notification popup state has been opened' in testPrivateBrowsing/testPrivateDownloadPanel.js due to small browser window size
    • bug 1117731 - Test failure 'Notification popup state has been opened' in testSecurity/testSSLStatusAfterRestart.js
    • bug 1126744 - Test failure 'tab.getNode(...) is null' in testAddons/testPluginDisableAffectsAboutPlugins.js

    • bug 908206 - Failure in testPrivateDownloadPanel.js due to changes in nsIDownloadManager
    • bug 1071566 - Add new method in the the tabBrowser class to handle the TabSelect
    • bug 785014 - Build restartless.xpi as a plain bootstrapped extension

  • Will concentrate the next days on Mozmill related blockers
  • We have to get mozdownload fixed for being able to download Win64 builds from the new location on FTP
