    • Many builds signed off - 40 RC (builds 1, 2, 4, 5), ESR 38.2.0 (builds 1 & 2), 39.0.3, ESR 38.1.1, 40.0.1, 41 Beta 1
    • Feature testing - signed off on Aurora features (Pre-Beta Sign Off): Hello - Text Chat
    • Main focus:
      • Build sign offs - 40.0.1, 41 Beta 1 (today)
      • Aurora 42 Full Regression Testing (e10s enabled)
      • Feature testing - signing off on new Aurora features - Control Center, Search Suggestions, Tab audio indicator

Major New Desktop Features status

  • [Andrei & Cornel] Windows 10
    • No updates since last week. As a side note, Windows 10 is currently also being covered by the e10s Regression Testing performed on Fx 42 DevEdition.
  • [Bogdan] Hello - Text Chat (Fx 41) – read only
    • No updates. Feature looks good for beta.
  • [Ica] Add-ons Signing (Fx 41)
    • The feature is enabled by default in Nightly, Aurora and Beta
    • There are still present a few UI issues
  • [Catalin Varga] Control Center (Fx 42)
    • Almost all resolved Control Center bugs have been verified.
    • Modifications were made to some labels from Control Center so I have to update the test plan
    • 42 Aurora Signoff - partially done - I'll send an email this Friday
  • [Petruta] Search Suggestions (Fx 42)
    • Currently disabled in Dev Edition 42.0a2; enabled only in Nightly - with prompt to opt-in

  • Stability (KaiRo)
    • The last weeks of 40 beta had the lowest crash rates since quite some time ago
  • EME automation + YouTube MSE automation [sydpolk]
    • sydpolk is working on bandwidth limiting again.
    • pf-jenkins will be changing data centers after sydpolk's PTO next week.
    • log parsing for Treeherder complete so firefox-media-test now meet all "Tier-2" requirements
    • turned on e10s for firefox-media-tests: seeing spike in hangs in marionette test harness (windows only); can't reproduce this outside of automation
    • maja_zf working on mozharness script for running firefox-media-tests in buildbot
