Shumway is a JavaScript/HTML5 solution for playing back SWF files. More information can be found on the MDN site, project site and roadmap.

Get Involved!

This project is still being developed, but if you'd like to help with some early testing, feel free to try a One and Done task to help us assess compatibility with existing content.

Requirements

You will need the latest build of Nightly. Follow the instructions in the MDN article to turn on Shumway and start viewing SWF content.

Filing Bugs

Shumway is not yet enabled by default in Firefox. Therefore, it's not yet necessary to file issues in Bugzilla. However, those that are actively using Shumway and also using GitHub can feel free to log issues there.
