- Dietrich is doing some interesting work with universities. Gets students to hack and try things out, some things have actually been incorporated into FX OS. Researchy-style of projects - attractive to the folks he is trying to grab
[mbrandt] Fort Lewis College's Engineering department - mbrandt was invited to a meeting to bring back the Computer program. Interest from the current Engineering Dept. to connect with Mozilla in general. Wants to share what he is doing - also find out if there is interest in remote presentations or mentorship. Matt would like to give a presentation, and then point people in directions and points of contact. Trying to keep this pretty low touch. ctalbert interested in helping, let us know what you end up finding out. Engineers without Boarders, reach out to local chapters? [mbrandt] WTEU-49 – How do you deliver bad news? http://weekendtesting.com/archives/3708
* Action Item: [mbrandt] Recommend to come back and do a show and tell in the future regarding this
* Action Item: Send pragmatic feedback so she can keep iterating on QMO Re-design http://qmo.pragmatictester.com/
[ctalbert] Report from open hatch event - Student to Mentor ratio -> 8: 1 ratio. More people showed up and was difficult to mingle. Event seems cool - not sure how many will end up getting involved.
