removing CEL inforamtion
In the next few weeks, we'll be populating this wiki with more resources to help you get involved and start experimenting, prototyping and testing the future of connected devices.

Community Experimentation Launchpad (CEL) - Beta
The CEL is a community-driven program that aims to empower Mozillians to dream up the future of connected devices, research, design, prototype and validate their ideas through open collaboration and innovation. The program provides resources, tools and mentoring to help you run your own experiments, while connecting you with the innovation process at Mozilla.

An overview of the Community Experimentation Launchpad can be found in this presentation

Please make sure to check this section regularly as we will be continuously updating the wiki and most of the documents are work in progress and constantly updated.

How to get started in the beta phase
The CEL is being built with input from different teams across Mozilla and volunteers around the world. Until at least June 2016 we will be in the beta phase, piloting many ideas, approaches, tools, etc. So getting involved now means being ready for a wild and fun ride.

To get started:
# Review the experiment flow and determine in which stage of the flow you are in.
# If you have already an idea for a project, start filling out the Experiment Canvas
# Attend an office hour and get feedback on your experiment

CEL office hours and mentoring
As you get started and as you progress through your project, you'll be able to get mentoring from a cross-functional panel of technical and non-technical experts in the IoT space. You'll be able to bounce off ideas, ask questions and get some guidance to help you push your project forward.

By filling and submitting the Experiment Canvas you'll be able to attend the office hours. If you are unsure how to fill the canvas you will also be able to get guidance from the team.

For the very first iterations of the office hours we will be having mainly product and engineering mentoring. As we develop the launchpad we will be adding much more research and design mentoring. We will update this wiki with the Office hours soon.

Resources -- research, design, technical
Working on a project from scratch is hard, so in this section we aim to compile a set of resources to bootstrap your project and provide you with the assistance and expertise you need to get started.

For now we can offer:
* The Experiment Canvas: A tool that will allow you to think about the solutions your experiment explores, the value for users and the Mozilla mission and what team and resources you need to run the experiment.
* The Office hours: mentoring from the Mozilla staff
* Funds from the Reps Innovation Fund
* A quick guide for setting up an experiment and a team. More here...

In the future we will offer a toolkit and several playbooks for the areas listed below. These will include tools, methods, best practices and additional support for:

* Research
* Design
* Prototyping

Check back as we add more resources in these areas.

Innovation Fund: Managed by the Mozilla Reps program
A volunteer-driven and lightweight Innovation Fund is being initiated by the Mozilla Reps Council. This fund is an experiment itself until June 2016, and will provide a lightweight and streamlined process to fund small projects that aim to experiment and prototype innovative ideas in the connected devices space. More here....

Volunteer-led projects in progress -- help them out!
Mozillians have already started blazing their own path in this new exciting space. From a Heart Rate monitor to a Plant Watering System to a Flood Detection Sensor, ideas abound. More here....
