Storming Town and Gown

This activity brainstorms what it means to prepare for a profession, for community, for the next phase of life, and what is a real, meaningful, creative, inspiring way to educate oneself for whatever change comes next for oneself and one's world. We will use butcher paper, colored paper, note cards, and other "memos to the self" for participants to brainstorm all that needs to change about education in service of society, educating one's self for a changing world, and learning how to flourish in a world one also helps to transform. From these messages, we hope to then create a visuals of what it means to educate and not simply to certify, what it means to learn and not simply to graduate, and what it means to learn together, as and with a community.
