Overview of the SUMO l10n community

Goals

Create an overview of SUMO locales to understand:

• the SUMO coverage in the different locales
• if there are other channels for providing support than SUMO and their coverage
• the organization and challenges of the local communities

Project plan

1. Contact locale leaders and arrange a meeting (IRC, skype, phone) to talk about their locales. The main areas of interest for the L10n overview are:
   • How many active contributors (what is the definition of an active contributor?)
   • How are contributors organized
   • What are their main support channels, SUMO (kitsune) or own infrastructure
   • How are the locales communicating with the rest of SUMO team
   • What are the main problems they are encountering
   • What could be improved on SUMO (platform and project)
   • What kind of help could they need from the SUMO team
   • Are new contributors joining
     
     
2. Analyze if defining L10n specific metrics is useful to monitor the localization and the L10n community of SUMO
   
   
3. Analyze and summarize the information and create a public document with the results.
