• We're slowly transitioning all the old pads to new ones

Improve ability of forum contributors to help with plugin issues (philipp) In light of recent events (3 flash security updates in short succession, blocklisting to be applied soon), we should make the live of users and sumo contributors easier in these situations by getting these two bugs fixed:

• [Bug 1178425] Version information of plugins should be obvious for users in the Add-ons Manager

• there is consensus in the bug report that it needs fixing, but no action so far. please lobby for getting this fixed in product!

• getting this fixed in sumo would greatly help giving targeted advice to forum users about plugin issues. it also make this data more easy to interpret for forum newbies because it removes cryptic strings like for the silverlight plugin
