Should security perform a review on this feature?
Stage 1: Definition
1. Feature overview
Right now, Firefox only supports SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0. It should be able to use TLS 1.1 and 1.2 as well. Security is a major priority for Mozilla, so supporting these protocols is important.
2. Users & use cases
This feature is relevant to end users of sites which support these protocols, which right now are comparatively small, but are growing.
3. Dependencies
To be filled in.
4. Requirements
To be filled in.
Non-goals
We are not decommissioning SSL 3.0 or TLS 1.0, we are merely supporting additional protocols in addition to these.
Stage 2: Design
5. Functional specification
Most of the relevant UI work will consist of adding a couple of check boxes in the options window.
6. User experience design
