I like the idea of encrypting all Firefox profile data, but such an idea should not be implemented if it interferes with power users who sometimes wish to edit the files that hold profile data. --Armaetin 22:45, 8 July 2007 (PDT)

I came here to suggest being able to search through cookies, but as it has already been suggested I'd just like to give the idea some support! My Exceptions list is massive and growing all the time. It's easy to accidentally deny a cookie, or to change your mind after denying a cookie. When this happens it is sooo tedious searching through all the sites in the exceptions list, especially because sites can have odd names sometimes. You may think 'well surely you will know the name of the site and just look through the exceptions list alphabetically', but sometimes it's not that straightforward; you may have to look for a keyword like 'mail' e.g. 'hidingfrom.you.mail'. This is because of cookies often having a completely different name to the site visited.

Thanks ;)

I like a lot of the security features that have been requested. I particularly like the acceptance of cookies only from sites that I visit and would like to see more control of what is placed on my computer and what is shared with sites that I visit. It would be nice to discriminate against sites that I don't know or don't use without disrupting the ones that matter to me.--Zer0nin3r 13:59, 3 May 2008 (PDT)

The privacy browsing of Firefox is crap, because it closes all current tabs and "normal" windows before opening the private one. There is no reason to do that ; personnaly, I would like to be able to continue to surf without privacy and to make private browsing into another separate windows, as it is possible with google chrome.

Dev should take a look to chrome about that, this is really more confortable.

Is it worth or possible to add some functionality in FF where the user itself can decide how long a cookie for a specific site should be stored on his/her computer ? I was thinking in terms of minutes or even less.
