Talk:Thunderbird:Help Documentation:Creating an Account
From MozillaWiki
I tried filling this in a bit today. Given that there is an account creation Wizard, it's a bit confusing trying to figure out why someone would be reading this anyways. The wizard provides documentation (albeit lakcing in points) on most of the information being asked for. What exactly is the direction we're taking here? Is it troubleshooting problems or just a walkthru on how to do this? --DigDug
- This document will be available both in the main Help interface (unless there's some pressing reason to not have it available that I can't think of at the moment) and via a Help button in the wizard itself. The wizard may be mostly self-descriptive, but you never know. This document will largely be fallback, I think; it may expand on terms in places (as a quick, off-cuff example, to note that "server name" will usually start with "pop." if you have a POP account, or something like that) or go into more details. I'm not fully certain what it'll be at this point; I know it's needed, and I want to see the ways it grows as time passes before I make any sort of firm judgment. (As much as there's ever a "firm decision" about what is in the content of an article, besides normal "too geeky" type judgments.)--Waldo 22:17, 5 Mar 2005 (PST)
- Shouldn't the graphics have some example input into the fields? --wt
