Categories and templates
Thank you very much for your effort and enthusiasm in organizing MozillaWiki pages. We greatly appreciate your desire to be involved. However, as changing categories and templates in large quantities can be disruptive, we would like to hold off on doing so until we've had a chance to plan out the guidelines and best practices for MozillaWiki. If you are interested in helping us with this effort, you can find out information on how to get involved on the MozillaWiki:Team page; we are reachable on IRC or the newsgroup or, of course, on various talk pages here on MozillaWiki. We hope to be able to get started on a first draft by the end of the year. Thank you again for your interest, and thank you for being a Mozillian! —Gordon P. Hemsley→✉ 04:30, 14 November 2014 (PST)
- Oh, sorry about that :)
- Didn't mean to break anything, so I'll keep off the templates for a while.
- But I guess it's ok if I add more icon files and such things?

- The thing with categories (as you may have already noticed) is that it can be hard to change them on many pages all at once. If we later decide to go a different way, we would have to change or remove the existing categories.
- As for uploading things, that's much less disruptive. Just make sure that you're only uploading things that we actually need here on MozillaWiki. (Note that, although we are inspired in many ways by Wikipedia, we are not a Wikimedia wiki, and we don't necessarily need all the Wikimedia assets on here.)
- It is also important that you ensure that what you upload is compatible with our CC-BY-SA license.

- I only upload public domain material, and doesn't aim to turn this wiki into a MediaWiki Light. What I upload, in terms of icons and images, has to do with what is missing here, and/or what could be universally useful. I actually think before I upload stuff.
- The MozillaWiki is extremely important for, e.g. smaller Mozilla communities like the Swedish one. However, it isn't very well adapted for use in multiple languages or as a principal communication platform. We are too few to maintain a website of our own, which means that this wiki is a godsend in being able to relate information about Mozilla and the Swedish community. By prioritizing MozillaWiki, and making it compatible with e.g. useful Wikipedia/MediaWiki parsers, templates, etc., you would really help us in involving more Swedes in Mozilla. Not all assets are needed, but a lot are …

Thank you for hint about using spam template
Hello! Thank you for adding note to Report Spam about the "spam" template and it's use with Category:Spam page - I knew there was a better way to flag spam to the Anti-spam Team :) SpikeUK1 (talk) 23:42, 10 January 2015 (PST)
Mass page moves
Hey there. While we appreciate the time and effort you put it to do the work, please refrain from any future uncoordinated mass page moves. Although ultimately helpful, moving pages out from under the teams that maintain them can actually be disruptive in the short term, and create ongoing cleanup work after the move. For example, I had to revert an overwrite of the redirect on FirefoxOS/TPETeams and then move FirefoxOS/TPETeams/2015-02-04 to the appropriate place, as it was either created while you were moving pages or it uses a template that has not yet been updated to point the correct location. We are aware of the existence of these inefficient groups of subpages, and we hope to coordinate automatic page movement in the future. You are clearly very passionate about what you do, and your work is generally helpful. We would be happy to have you involved in the planning of changes we make to the wiki! You are welcome to join us in #wiki to discuss future changes; if nothing else, please leave a message on my or Christie's talk page before you attempt any large changes in the future. Thanks again for your efforts. —Gordon P. Hemsley→✉ 04:39, 3 February 2015 (PST)
Audit Help namespace
Hey there. When you get a chance, can you audit the the Help namespace for pages that have not been updated since 2004 or are otherwise out of date and tag them with {{delete}}? Thanks! —Gordon P. Hemsley→✉ 08:27, 25 April 2015 (PDT)
